Earning from Blogging

If you have a blog, chances are you earn money from it via advertising through banner ads or contextual ads. But if you are so fond of blogging, you can expand your earning opportunities by writing for blogs and getting paid for your blogging.

There are several blog-for-pay venues that you can consider joining:

Blogit.com = readers pay a subscription fee to read blogs, and this fee is divided among the writers the subscriber reads. The more readers the blog writer attracts, the greater the income for the writer.

Pay per Post = this works more as paid advertising copy. Instead of the blogger writing a review about products or services unencumbered, the blogger responds to what is called "opportunities" which are requests for writeups from advertisers. An example is the request for 40-word writeup designed to create buzz for an online children's apparel website - and the fee is $2.50 -- such a paltry sum for blatant paid ad placement.

Weblogs Inc = this works more like a paid position, where you apply to blog for one of the company's blogs (mostly tech and Internet focused)

Marqui's Pay Bloggers Program = again, this acts like paid endorsement where you will be paid $800 per month to make a "textual mention (with URL link) about Marqui and its Service on your blog four times a month." An additional $50 will be paid for every qualified lead you send their way.

If you don't mind endorsing some companies or services, not because you think there are well worth endorsing, but because you were paid to do so, then you can consider several of the above opportunities.

What is best alternatives of Adsense

If you ask me what is the best alternative to Google AdSense? From my experience I will say there is no alternative to AdSense. AdSense is the best contextual ad network from which publishers can earn lots of money online. But it is not easy to get approved AdSense application. Sometime your AdSense account may get banned due to several reasons. Maximum AdSense accounts are banned due to invalid clicks or self clicks. Actually publishers are too much hurry to earn money. They should remember AdSense is not a quick rich program. Once AdSense account is banned it is difficult to get back. So how you can monetize your website or blog after being denied or being banned from AdSense. What is the best alternative to AdSense? I have already discussed about amazon associates in my previous post. Here I will put down my experience with other Ad networks I joined just for testing.

Adbrite: Adbrite is effective and powerful way to make money by selling space in your website or blog. It enables you to sell your space through “your Ad Here” link. They share revenue 75:25 in your favor. You can set your own Text ads on a CPC basis (cost per click), that is you earn for each click received on an ad. Banner ads are paid out on a CPM basis (cost per thousand impressions). An impression is the number of times an ad is displayed therefore you earn for every 1000 views on a banner ad. Full page ads, on the other hand are paid out on a CPV basis (cost per view) thus you earn per each view of a full page ad. All network ads (CPM, CPV and CPC ads) are auctioned-based. This means advertisers bid on how much they are willing to pay per click or per view, so you don't need to set any pricing. Network ads are paid out at a rate of 1 cent above the second highest bid. When there is no competition to appear on your site, payment will be made on base rate.

Bidvertiser
Bidvertiser is another popular ad network company alternative to Google AdSense. It has some useful features such as free design, earning through referrals, instant selling space through “Advertise on this site” when ads are not available. Pay out is just $10 through Paypal. One important feature is you can deny low paying ads being appeared in your site. BidVertiser gives you a simple point-and-click tool to help you customize the layout of the ads to fit your site's look and feel, in order to retain the high quality of your website. You can use the Publisher Center to generate detailed online reports to monitor your ads performance, including the number of page impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and the total amount you've earned.

Chitika;
Chitika ads is a powerful and appropriate for any website with any type of content including automotive, finance, health, gadgets and electronics, news, sports, travel, etc. If your website gets a lot of U.S. traffic, then Chitika Premium ads are a perfect match for you. Its eMiniMalls are the industry's first and only intelligent and interactive product merchandising service. eMiniMalls present Web publishers with a feature rich service that offers online product merchandising, a dynamic recommendation engine and robust comparative shopping information in one solution. They are a way to supplement your existing ad revenue while providing a completely new revenue stream through interactive merchandising. You may refer any publisher from your website, who does not already have a Chitika account. Please keep in mind; all referrals (new applicants) are subject to approval before they can begin displaying Chitika's eMiniMalls. Chitika offers two payment options: Paypal payments and payments by Check. Your account needs to accumulate the minimum amount of $10.00 for Paypal and $50.00 for checks.

Yahoo Publisher:
Yahoo Publisher is leading and powerful advertising program. I would say it is excellent alternative to Google AdSense. But at present in most cases they are not responsive. They display ads related to content of your website like AdSense and earn money for valid clicks. You can monetize your website by displaying One of the best advantage is that it is compatible with contextual advertising . It also give your site a aesthetic look. For joining TLA you must have adequeate traffic for your website.

Blogging With Emotion

Sometimes the best writing lessons you can learn as both a freelance writer and a freelance blogger are the ones that you learn by accident. This was the case for a recent lesson I've learned, and one that even in a short time is paying off dividends. The writing lesson in this case is simple: don't be afraid to blog with emotion.
Granted, if you are always writing blog posts that ramble incoherently and jump from place to place or point to point then there are more important things than writing with emotion. That being said, as writers many of us are used to having to write point by point articles that can often be described as being very cookie cutter. While having some stability is a good thing - after all you want to be viewed as an expert, but once in a while if you become really passionate about something, don't be afraid to speak out.
Sometimes a blog can seem stale, and that bit of emotion can jump start everything. Maybe that's not even a problem. A change of pace is always a good thing, and if you're normal blogging voice is measured and calm, a little bit of fire to spice things up could not only gain the attention of your current readers, but also snag many new ones.
One of the most successful blog posts I've ever had is a very recent one where I "threw down the gauntlet." This has led to more subscribers, more Twitter followers, a huge jump in reads, and the most comments of any individual post by far (over double and still counting). All that from letting a little emotion in.
There is a difference between letting in a little fire, and being crude. But if you have a little bit of emotion and passion for a post, go ahead and put it up. You might be surprised at the results.
If you would like to learn more about blogging with emotion, please feel free to visit my blog for more information on this topic, as well as general freelance writing information. All this can be found at my Master Dayton freelance writing blog.

How to Start Your First Money Making Blog

Here you are with questions in your mind:
How do I start blogging?
How do I set up a blogging site?
How to make money blogging?
Starting blogging for money is actually simpler than you might think. Head on to free blog sites such as blogger.com or wordpress.com and open up a free account. That's all - you are in a making money blogging business. You don't have to be technically savvy or even know HTML, blogging sites are extremely easy to use. Make sure you'll start writing about subjects you like - gardening, golfing, vacations - whatever is your passion. Writing about your passion or hobby is a good way to get your hands wet, so to speak. You do want to get experience on how to write posts, and see what makes your blog's visitors to come back and leave comments. Is it a new idea how to arrange garden in backyard, or what makes a powerful golf swing?
Now, how do you start making money with blogs? Writing is fun, but where is money? The easiest way to make money with blogs is to publish advertisements from ad networks such as Google AdSense or Yahoo Publishers Network. What you need to do is to plug their ad code into your blog and, vola, everything else is done automatically. Relevant ads are served by ad networks to your blog and whenever visitor clicks on the ad, you'll get paid. It's hard to say how much you'll get paid per click (it depends on a market you choose), but expect 5 cents and up per click. In very competitive markets, such as beauty, clicks come at a premium price of 25 cents and more.
Important thing to consider before you'll decide to make money blogging is whether you want to use free blogging services or open a web hosing account and host your blogs there. My recommendation is to host blogs on your own hosting account. That way you have more control over blogs and you don't have to think about your blog being suddenly dropped out. Yes, it does happen with free services, and it may take a long time to restore your blog business.
Additionally, you are limited to what you can do with your blogs while using free hosting such as blogger.com. That's why I definitely recommend going with paid web hosting and having a complete control over your money making blogs. Your business should be in your hands.
